Course availability and schedule changes
Help every group understand when the course is affected, even if they cannot enter the event.
01Begin with the regular programme
Use repeating entries for the usual weekly sessions. State clearly whether they reserve course time or simply provide information.
02Add the dated special event
Create a separate, date-specific event at the actual venue. Choose Special event — takes priority, and describe the course restrictions accurately.
03Use the correct time window
A closure should show when it applies. If the finish time is unknown, do not invent an end time or imply the course is free afterwards. Ask the club for confirmation.
04Review flagged regular sessions
The shared calendar puts special events first and flags potentially overlapping regular sessions. Missing finish times are treated as uncertain and may be flagged too.
05Confirm the outcome
Discuss with the affected organiser. Update that occurrence and its schedule note when a move, cancellation or new time is confirmed. A conflict warning alone does not cancel a session or notify everyone by email.
06Check the public view
Open the public club schedule and event details. Confirm that the restriction is understandable and following weeks still show the regular programme.
A practical example
Booth Shield closes Westown on 5 October and until 1:30 p.m. on 6 October. The Tuesday women’s session needs confirmation; its ordinary weekly listing does not override the closure.
