Managing a group

Keep your group information, membership and activities easy to follow.

  1. 01Open the correct group

Go to Admin and select the group you manage. Check the organisation and group name before making changes.

  2. 02Review the profile

Update its description, location and purpose. Use clear words that tell prospective members what the group does.

  3. 03Manage membership

Review pending membership requests and share the group invitation link where appropriate. Joining a group and being allowed to enter an event are separate decisions.

  4. 04Create an event

Use Add event from the group. Choose the actual course venue, entry method and who can participate. Use the event guide for the full workflow.

  5. 05Check entries and changes

For RoundUp registration events, use the event’s management tabs to review entries. External bookings stay with the external booking provider.

  6. 06Hand over deliberately

Have the incoming administrator create their own account and arrange the correct role through an authorised administrator. Never share account passwords.

A practical example

A tour group can visit different courses. Each event must name the course being played so it does not appear to reserve the home course.

RoundUp complements Golf NZ / DotGolf. Official club bookings remain with the club’s chosen booking service.
